Remember the positive experiences


Our memories tend to focus on the more significant aspects of our life as these tend to hold more meaning.

Unfortunately for some of us, the negative events tend to get remembered more readily than the positive ones.

This might be because we tend to get more emotional and spend a lot of time thinking about negative events as compared to positive ones - we tend to be able to accept positive events easier and give little further thought.

So to create more balance, and a more realistic perspective on our life, we either need to spend more time thinking about positive events, or accept the negative events just as we do the positive ones and stop dwelling.
